National Museum (Muzium Negara)



National Museum Malaysia ( Muzium Negara Malaysia ) serve as a the principal museum in the country. The design of this palatial building is based on the classical Malay architecture. The National Museum Malaysia (Muzium Negara Malaysia) provides the history, political development, culture, economy, arts, flora and fauna of the country.

The Historical Gallery traces the different periods in the history of Peninsular Malaysia. The Cultural Gallery is a collection of various aspects of the Malaysian culture, from common everyday pastimes to important ceremonial customs. Included in the exhibitions are a Malay wedding scene, a royal circumcision ceremony, and an presentation on the heritage of the Straits-born Chinese. The Metalwork and Musical Instruments Gallery showcases various objects and utensils from kitchenware and ceremonial ornaments to weapons and traditional instruments of Malaysian music. The museum was set up in 1963 to serve as a repository of Malaysia's rich cultural heritage and as the centre for imparting knowledge on the country's historical past. Thematic exhibitions are held from time to time.


On the museum's grounds are static displays including old locomotives, vintage cars and a replica of an ancient Malay palace.  The ethnographic and archaeological exhibitions include life-size dioramas depicting various aspects of traditional Malaysian life.  Shadow play (Wayang kulit) displays reflect the ancient artistry of the nation, while exhibits of traditional weapons such as daggers (kris) and machetes (parangs) reveal the Malaysian pride in functional aesthetic forms.

Apart from the permanent exhibitions, The National Museum Malaysia (Muzium Negara Malaysia) also holds regular thematic exhibitions, most notably its Treasures from the Graves, Enduring Beauty and World of Ghosts exhibits that drawn large crowd of curious visitors. The museum's origins date back to 1888, although the present facility was built in 1963. The museum is located on the fringe of Taman Tasik Perdana (the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens).

National Monument (Tugu Negara)

National Monument Malaysia ( Tugu Negara Malaysia ) is located in the setting of the tranquil Lake Gardens, close by to the Parliament House in Kuala Lumpur, It was built to show our honour to those who gave up their lives cause of peace and freedom of the country., particularly during the Malaysia struggle against the threat of Communism . The Monument,which represents the triumph of democracy was sculpted in 1966 by Felix de Weldon. 

This National Monument Malaysia ( Tugu Negara Malaysia ) have was the idea from the 1st prime minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj also known as father of independent. He went to United States and see the the Iwojima Statue. The statue to remember the soldier how died during pearl harbor. Then Tunku Abdul Rahman went to see Mr. Felix de Weldon and ask him to sculpture the monument for Malaysia. 

With tall of 15 meter with bronze color. It'show the bravery, love, and victory.!

Currently the world's second tallest two free-standing towers, which are connected by a skybridge, the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers Kuala Lumpur soars to a dizzying height of 452m above the city skyline. History Of Sultan Abdul Samad Building


Built between 1894 and 1897, its curving arches, domes, and a 41-metre clock tower make it as one of the city's most frequently photographed buildings. This heritage building used to be occupied by the Supreme Court. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building now houses the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.


This building have been built using 4 millions bricks that brought from the place named Brickfields. The building itself is the first building named after malay ruler Sultan Abdul Samad. The architect is A.C. Norman, he was in India before he arrived at Malaysia. Then we will see the Sultan Abdul Samad Building was influence by moghul design from India.

Behind the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is the conclusion of two river Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang. That is the birth place of Kuala Lumpur. "Kuala" means conclusion of two river and "Lumpur" mean mud.

The verdant green surrounding Kuala Lumpur Tower  is the Bukit Nanas Forest - the only oldest gazetted forest reserve in the country. Age-old trees, flora and fauna indigenous to tropical climes, the tale of the Jelutong Tree that moved the Menara and a recreational park with open air gym are there for your exploration.

In the forest one can find colourful butterflies, insects, monkeys, squirrels and exotic birds in their natural habitat. The forest also contains ferns, creepers and climbers, Palmae spp. and other indigenous plants.

The Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city, in between Jalan Ampang and Jalan Raja Chulan. It covers an area of 10.05 hectares and is considered the 'Green Lung' of Kuala Lumpur. It is a sanctuary to a wonderful array of flora and fauna which is unique to our tropical nature.

It is easy to get to the Forest Park as it is surrounded by a network of excellent roads. To reach the Forest Park, visitors can use their own vehicles or public transportation. The main road is Jalan Ampang, Jalan Gereja and Jalan Raja Chulan.
